Our Story

Old Schools story begins with a long history of health issues. Eye trouble, asthma, cardiac arrest, joint issues the list can go own, but one of the lists which might out do my health issues is my hobbies. 

You name it I've played it, but Hunting, diving, trail running, swimming, biking, MTB, jiujitsu, kickboxing, yoga, the gym are all hobbies I've tried to do concurrently. Which requires a lot of energy and a body held together by more than medical tape.

Though I've found medical tape really useful I reach the only conclusion I could swallow. 

To do everything I want to do, I must look after my body with yoga, and foam rolling but specifically with what I eat.

but I had to dive deeper. What else could be affecting my health? what else could be affecting my hormones and my ability to recover?

How good can these additives and preservatives, how bad are artificial colours and flavours? Are synthetic materials? Teflon is a forever chemical that does what?

Harsh cleaning chemicals damage our lungs, sunscreen absorbs through our skin. We need a blog to cover them all. 

Now don't get me wrong, I take a plastic bottle of kiwi blue with me on hunts, I use sunscreen over been burnt to a crisp, but what toxins can we reduce or eliminate entirely from our life....

Let's start with seed oils and microplastics. 

I don't need to cook every meal in seed oils. Like getting a cast iron pan. In one move we can reduce to minimal our seed oil or Teflon consumption.

Now I'll still enjoy the odd French fry, but ill use tallow in every meal. )link other page)

Now microplastics, are even found in the air we breath! 

but if the major concern is heated plastic, and beef tallow melts at 40-45 degrees...

 

Beyond the ordinary

Manufactures can't let the fat cool too much because it'll become solid so they must pour it into their plastic containers at at least 40-45 degrees. Therefore, at best there is plenty of microplastics teeming in the otherwise healthy product.
